LEXUS RECALLS MORE THAN 500,000 VEHICLES! POSSIBLE LEMON LAW CLAIM!

Toyota Motor Sales, USA, INC. announced a voluntary recall on over 500,000 Lexus cars including, 2006 through 2007 Lexus GS300/350, 2006 through early 2009 Lexus IS250, and 2006 through early 2008 Lexus IS350 vehicles. The purpose of this recall is to inspect the fuel pressure sensor.

The recall is due to insufficient tightening of the fuel pressure sensor connected to certain engine fuel delivery pipes which creates the possibility that the pressure sensor could loosen over time, and if this happens, the fuel could leak past a gasket used in the connection between the sensor and the delivery pipe and through the threaded portion of the sensor.

A recall does not mean that your vehicle is a lemon. A recall is a safety measure taken by manufacturers, either voluntarily (as in this case) or required by the government. However, if you have already experienced any problems with Lexus relating to the fuel pressure sensor or fuel system, and have already taken your car in for repairs for these problems on more than one occasion, it is possible that your Lexus may be a lemon and you may be entitled to relief under the law, which could include a cash settlement or a repurchase of your vehicle.
