Brett Shainfeld ESQ.

A Partner with Shainfeld & Anvar, PC, Brett became an attorney to make a difference for his clients and provide them with creative and cutting edge solutions to their problems. As a founder of Shainfeld & Anvar, Brett’s philosophy consists of providing his clients with clear explanations and forward‑thinking options to their cases in addition to personal attention to detail.

Brett began his professional education at the University of California, Davis in 1996. While at UC Davis, Brett was a 4-year member and captain of the NCAA Division 1 wrestling team, as well as member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. In 2000, Brett graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in both Communications and International Relations, and was nominated an “Outstanding Senior for the Class of 2000.”

Following his graduation from UC Davis, Brett spent the next three years involved in sales/management and business development both for small businesses as well as one of the largest wineries in the world. During this time, Brett sharpened his real world business skills, which he continues to implement today when providing his clients with creative, innovative and unique solutions to their problems.

Brett graduated with a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2006 where he gained the legal knowledge to augment his real-world business experience. In addition to obtaining his degree from Loyola Law School, Brett became a California Certified Mediator, which has provided him with the skills, training and knowledge to resolve his clients’ cases with innovative and out -of-the-box solutions.

Following law school, Brett spent the next few years gaining practical legal experience by providing legal representation to both plaintiffs and corporate defendants. During this training, Brett represented multi-million dollar companies, including The Irvine Company, LA Fitness, Carl’s Jr. and Zurich Insurance Company.

Brett’s goal of helping others and putting their needs before his own is of no surprise to those who know him. Brett is an active and supportive member of his community, including being on the board of a non‑profit organization which provides food and clothing to those in need. Brett has learned to lead by example from his parents who immigrated to America from South Africa with him and his brother when Brett was 9 years old.

Brett is accredited by the California State Bar and all of the U.S. District Courts of California. He is a member of the Consumer Attorney’s Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), American Bar Association (ABA), Orange County Bar Association (OCBA), and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).

Jessica Anvar ESQ.

A Partner with Shainfeld & Anvar, PC, Ms. Anvar graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.

Ms. Anvar attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles where she obtained both her Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration in 2006. Also, during her time at law school, Ms. Anvar was involved with Loyola’s Center For Conflict Resolution, whereby she became a California Certified Mediator.

While in graduate school, Ms. Anvar participated in the Disability Rights Legal Center, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in addition to interning with the Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to becoming a Partner with Shainfeld & Anvar, PC, Ms. Anvar worked as an Associate for a prominent family law firm in Los Angeles and was a Partner with a plaintiff’s civil litigation law firm.

Ms. Anvar was named a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009 and 2010.

Ms. Anvar was admitted to the California State Bar and all of the United States District Courts of California in 2007. She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys’ Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), American Bar Association (ABA), and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).

Ms. Anvar speaks fluent Farsi and she currently resides in Los Angeles.
